Dr. Madawi Al-Rasheed

Prof. Madawi Talal Al-Rasheed is a professor at the Middle East London School of Economics.

She had a Fellowship degree at the British Academy FBA.

She has the Danish Polytechnic Prize for Human Rights.

She was previously a professor of social anthropology at Kings College in London and research professor at the Middle East Institute, National University of Singapore, and the granddaughter of the last ruler of the Rasheed dynasty in Hail, (1830-1921).

Dr. Madawi Al-Rasheed works on political discussions in Saudi Arabia after the 9/11, 2001.

She wrote many books and articles in academic journals about the Arabian Peninsula, Arab and international migration.

Her research has focused on history, society, religion, and politics in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, Middle Eastern minorities in Britain, Arab immigration, and religious movements.
